Renaissance Festival

We took grandma(poi-poi) to Texas Renaissance Festival for the first time. She retired last year and moved to College Station where my grandparents live. Now, we can spend more time with her.

Chia-yi got her face painted. Poor girl didn't feel too well that day because her body was covered with hives and we didn't know what cause it. After considering her hives, we decided to let her go ahead to get her face painted.

We all munched down these yummy turkey legs. This was my mom's first time to eat a turkey leg. She thinks they are pretty tasty.

Woei-shyang is taking his nap. He looks just like his great grandpa dosing off on the sofa.

My little princess wearing a pink fairy wing that her poi poi just got for her. Poi poi also got her a crown and fairy wand too.

My hubby and Chia-yi were waiting in line for an elephant ride. Of course, I chose to not attend this event for two reasons. One I am afraid of heights and second I was afraid my jeans would smell bad after the ride. Anyway, the main thing is I just don't want to get dirty and smelly. I know I am missing out on the fun!

How often do you get an opportunity to ride an elephant in Texas? Probably, not often or never. The ticket price is kind of pricey for one little loop but it is all worth it. It is cheaper than flying to Africa. My hubby touched the elephant's skin and he told me " they are hard and dry" and he also got a chance to touch the inside of elephant's ear and they are very soft like baby's skin . Chia-yi was little bit scare but she still enjoy riding on it.

Halloween 2008

Past few years, we took Chia-yi to Round Rock Outlet for Trick -or- Treat but we did the traditional way this year. My hubby insisted we do the old fashion way so we went house to house on our street instead of store to store and she had a lot more fun than the past. I guess I am too cautious sometimes and it makes my kid miss some neat experiences. My hubby is right this time! Chia-yi can't stop talking about it and she keep asking "can she go Trick -or- Treat again?"--We will but not til next year, my little princess!

Woei-shyang dressed up as a cowboy. Daddy picked the outfit for him since he is too little to choose for himself.

Chia-yi dressed up as pink butterfly fairy but that is not what she originally chose. She chose a purple fairy and she changed her mind a couple days before Halloween.

This is pretty scary one.

Look at these two cute "HOT-DOGS"

Pumkin Patch

This is our family first time to the Pumpkin Patch.

Chia-yi is excited to be there!

It is hard for Daddy and Woei-shyang to get on the hay ride with stroller so daddy walk .

Chia-yi got her face painted as her first chosen event. I told her she can paint both sides of her face so she picked a pumpkin on one side and a rainbow on the other. I think I will get my face painted there next year too, it seem like lots fun!

After the yummy lunch, Chia-yi and I went to paint pumpkins and got to pick our own pumpkin to paint. Chia-yi did a great job picking out the pumpkins. I thought she would get very messy after all the different colors but she did a great job keeping her clothes clean. She hardly had any paint on her!

Poor Woei-shyang, he is still too little to do anything so he just sit there and chill. Next year, he will be able to join us.

These two are our finish project. Job will done!

Toward the end of our farm journey and we are headed back.

We picked flowers before we headed home.

Woei-shyang is tired and taking his nap.

Chia-yi is still full of energy afterward. She acted very silly in the car. We all had a great time and hope to visit the Pumpkin Patch again next year.
