Renaissance Festival

We took grandma(poi-poi) to Texas Renaissance Festival for the first time. She retired last year and moved to College Station where my grandparents live. Now, we can spend more time with her.

Chia-yi got her face painted. Poor girl didn't feel too well that day because her body was covered with hives and we didn't know what cause it. After considering her hives, we decided to let her go ahead to get her face painted.

We all munched down these yummy turkey legs. This was my mom's first time to eat a turkey leg. She thinks they are pretty tasty.

Woei-shyang is taking his nap. He looks just like his great grandpa dosing off on the sofa.

My little princess wearing a pink fairy wing that her poi poi just got for her. Poi poi also got her a crown and fairy wand too.

My hubby and Chia-yi were waiting in line for an elephant ride. Of course, I chose to not attend this event for two reasons. One I am afraid of heights and second I was afraid my jeans would smell bad after the ride. Anyway, the main thing is I just don't want to get dirty and smelly. I know I am missing out on the fun!

How often do you get an opportunity to ride an elephant in Texas? Probably, not often or never. The ticket price is kind of pricey for one little loop but it is all worth it. It is cheaper than flying to Africa. My hubby touched the elephant's skin and he told me " they are hard and dry" and he also got a chance to touch the inside of elephant's ear and they are very soft like baby's skin . Chia-yi was little bit scare but she still enjoy riding on it.
